Currency – All prices posted on the site are in Canadian dollars by default. All purchases will be charged in Canadian dollars regardless of where the order is shipping. Your credit card provider will convert the transaction into your home currency. The currency converter feature is offered as a convenience to those users wishing to view the prices in the equivalent US dollars. We update the exchange rate every business day to give you the most accurate estimate of the value in US dollars.
Duties and Taxes (Canadian shipments) – All of
our orders ship from Canada so there are no duties payable for any
product on the site although GST or HST will be added where
applicable. For orders shipping within Manitoba, PST will also be
added.
Duties and Taxes (US shipments) – All of our
orders ship from Canada. For orders shipping to the US there are no taxes calculated or payable at check out. All Barbarian products are covered under NAFTA and therefore ship duty free to the US. Other brands may have duty payable when you receive the goods but
generally orders under $200 can be shipped duty free. Furthermore, when an order totals $200 before shipping the order does require a
formal entry through customs. The formal entry does not incur any
additional charges but US customs does require a federal tax ID number
to clear the shipment through customs. For individuals it is a SSN;
for businesses, institutions, or non-profits it is an EIN. Customers can provide the number to us
when we ask for it but it can also be provided directly to UPS when
required. Remember, this is only for orders over $200 before
shipping.
Duties and Taxes (International shipments) –
There may be duties and/or taxes payable when you receive the
shipment. We ship all orders prepaid shipping but any duties and taxes
if applicable are to be paid by the receiver.
